I actually already bought the growtent I linked to. It was a pain in the arse to assemble. I’m growing no more than four plants. Will it do?

I planted my plant outdoors in like May. I brought it indoors in late September. I’ve had the lamp on it since then and haven’t noticed any growth. Any lights you’d go with? I’m only looking to grow a plant maybe as many as three. I’m not trying to grow a big ‘ol farm. Just for fun.

You’re in luck with all of the Black Friday sales this week. I just finished doing my share of LED research but I don’t know enough to recommend a specific lamp with enough data to back up my recommendation. But if I can guide your research, I’d start by looking at some of the reputable brands out there instead of these anonymous Amazon/Ebay brands that seem to promise more light output than they deliver.
A few reputable entry level brands that come to mind (in no particular order) include AC Infinity, Spider Farmer, ViparSpectra, Vivosun, Mars Hydro). Apologies if I missed anyone. Youtube videos by Migro and CocoforCannabis also provide some excellent LED comparisons. You should be able to get a great lamp designed for a 2x2 for under $100 this holiday.
While I am not an expert on light spectrum, I can say that I was impressed with the quality feel of the AC Infinity T22 and the ViparSpectra XS1500 I used last year. Both are designed for 2’x2’ tents. I would expect similar quality from any of these manufacturers but it’s definitely worth reading and watching more current reviews since technology has changed since I bought those.

I realize you are on a budget. This is the cheapest full spectrum light I can find because that one won’t cut it

Not really on much of a budget. But if I can save some money that would be great. My max for lighting is $200.

The LED boys will chime in. I'm still a neanderthal and use MH/HPS. If I was just starting out, I'd go LED.

I’m starting from the very beginning. Firstly who would you go with for seeds? I bought six seeds and only two germinated.Ultimately only one survived and it has stunted growth

That's a pretty poor return on 6 beans. Sometimes it out error when that happens sometimes it's the seed. There are many good seed sources online. Some cheaper than others but just a good.

I’ve been trying to germinate my seeds in a bowl with moist paper towels stored in a closet. Am I doing it right?

There are many ways to germ a seed. I soak for 24 hours then into a damp paper towel then a ziplock and into an oven mitt. Then to a warm place for 3 days. Boom tails. Nice size ones too. Bury the tail using a pen or screwdriver to make a hole. Tail down and just cover the top of the seed. No more than a quarter inch of soil on top of her. I generally do not use solo cups. I use a one gallon plastic pot then in 6 weeks or so I transplant. (after sexing).
I get my beans from Bootlegseeds. Just add a dot com you will find them. They still have a sale bogo pack of seeds. 20 reg seeds 10 bucks and 5 fems 25 bucks. Everything is bogo until 12-31-24. You can pick in comments while checking out or let them pick. I have let them pick several times. I have never been disappointed. Justcannabisseed. Also another good place. He has good deals seeds are between 15-45 unless you are buying his seeds collections those packs are 100 but it is usually 5-6 strains. He gives out vials of seeds in freebies. Not just one or 2 seeds you get a min of 2 vials. Sometimes more. I have never had troubles germinating their seeds. My last place is Brothersgrimm they are more expensive. The seeds are worth the money if you get the deals. They mostly sell fems. They have sales and deals. I shop around. All 3 seed banks are reputable seed banks. They all germinate well. No complaints from any. Hope this helps.
