First Time Grow Needs Help

I have 25 4-5ft plants they are still in veg because of the long day can I put a black garbage bag over them four hrs before dark to trick them to flower or will this stress the plant to much????????

I wouldn't suggest doing that. There are too many variables involved with that scenario...trapped heat and moisture to name a few. I could very well be wrong, but it doesn't seem to be a logical attempt to force the flowering stage of your girlfriends
Do you have them in pots? If so...possibly bring them indoors. It may be a lot of work, but the only way I know of forcing something to fool Mother Nature.
If you are not in jeopardy, or not just impatient...let Momma Nature do that VooDoo she does so well

also black trash bags arent all that solid black, meanin they will still have a bit of transparency to them. hold one up to the sunlight once an see.
but like ucandoit sait your lookin for a real workout if you wantin to try an play mothernature in her stompin ground. indoors is a diff story tho.

The trash bag proposal could work in theory but I don't think it's very practical. You would have to make ABSOLUTELY sure that no light at all got to the plants after their 12 hours of sun. They would have to be put on and removed at exactly the same time every day and night. For 25 plants, you're talking a lot of work, especially if they are all 4-5 feet tall. Why do you want them to go into flower early? I suggest just letting mother nature do her job and she will make you a very happy man.woman come the end of the growing season. You're looking at a large harvest with 25 4-5 foot plants... Wish I had that many going right now. Keep us posted. Take care and be safe.

Yo mean everyone doesn't have at least 20 5 foot tall outdoor plants going right now? Huh, I thought everyone did.

IMO you could build a tent that is as close to 100% lightproof and set it up over then but blocking the light with out ventilation will danage the plants due to heat stress.

I have 9 plants and i bring them in every night. It sucks! I wouldn't even attempt 25. And 4 to 5 foot each? That means at least 45 pounds of dirt, a piece. GO FOR THE GOLD! Good luck

I am watching a grow on another site and they have three plants in flower under a "tent". It is built of PVC pipe and covered with a tarp. He is having problems getting the tarp off every day at the same time, but his girls look great so far, they look around three feet. He is using the natural sundown I think, and keeping the tarp on in the morning later than the sunrise.
I considered this last year, the plastic bag thing. Did not do it, for all the good reasons stated above. The heat would have killed my girls at the most and molded them at the least, I beleive.
What is your hurry? or did I miss something?

I have eight plants, 4 of which are Sativa dominant and started early inside. Those four are now all over 7'. The other four are clones from a good producing Indica dom mom, and are only about 4 ' tall, but bushy as heck. I cant imagine how tall the Sativas are gonna be by harvest.
