First Time(A Charm?)

Well I am back from a lil trip away and came home to some growth. And I even have my camera now

If anyone could help me in trying to sex this baby, it would be much appreciated. I think I see pistils when I check it out under magnification but I don't want my eyes playing and nasty tricks on me

This plant has been a steady grower for me, always a nice lush green, leaves have little to no signs of stress other than a few bottom leaves. Anyways, comments and such is always nice. Pics of the other plant sooon, Real soon.

Cant really tell yet, id wait i lil bit longer. unless you see some small white hairs growing up on the top nodes first.
use a magnafying glass.
and look really really closelly up on the top nodes for some white or see thru hairs.

trust me i was sorta worried if mines was a guy and i almost tossed it, then i waited that extra week and BAM!!
saw some hairs, and i just introduced flowering last night.

Also if its a stativa it could take some extra time to show sex.

the hairs are really noticable. there like the green spikes you see next to each node but smaller and whispy. and white

I dunno if these will help in sexing but they are better than the others... I am yet to take a close gander at these pics

Nope not yet.

if you dont see those color pistles then you pretty much havent reached maturaty.
remember if you start to see balls in that same area than its male and you want to pull it asap so the pollen dosent get all over your grow space.


if those pictures you took are of the top growth then id say you have about another week.


are you running 24/0 or 18/6? on your lighting?
24/0 takes a bit longer to show sex where as 18/6 shows sex earlier because of the dark period.

invest into a 20$ grow book from your local head shop or even barnes and nobels.
i did and it has been my best friend.
i just re read everything and eventually it all makes sense.


im a new grower as well. but im like a 2 weeks in front of your grow so ill try and help you as i get helped if you have questions.

you see how theres a bit more space between the nodes in the pics i provided compared to yours. thats why i say about another week , just so it can mature up a bit and show sex.

your plant will slow its growth down and start filling out when maturaty is reached, then it starts to grow in heigth again when you introduce the all mighty 12/12

Yeah thanks for the tips. I can see the start of what seems to be pistils, I just can't capture it with my camera and microscope.

Oh and to answer you question I am on 24/7

Soooooo, just thought I would give you guys some pictures.

1. Shot of my cabinet just before lights out time.

2. The smaller and skimpier of my plants, some leaf damage from heat but going strong none the less.

3. Is that a pistol?? I'm not sure but it's definatly not balls.

4. Again, looking like a female, hoping for the best, specially since this is the one that suffered the most stress.

5. My bushy plat, fully LST'd, two bud sites fighting out for tops. The bud site to the far left is what would be the crown.

6. Again, looking lush and green, fighting for light.

very well could be, but im guessing its new growth, not pistels.

i wouldnt put them under 12/12 till you are 100% sure it showed sex, other wise your puting everything at risk and gonna introduce Hermies. easily.
but you look like you are really close to tellin sex, with there higth and there healthy looking conditions.
but trust me when i say, you will know it when you see it.
I was searching high and low for 2 weeks, and i almost threw the plant out cause it was kiling me.then one day i took my magnafying glass and i see a pistel comming up and it split into to ends to make a V shape.

i wasnt even 100% sure then, but a few more poped out and then the mighty 12/12 came about.


but dont hurry the process, you already put this into it just hold off a little longer. its probably gonna take you 3.5 months for a first grow. im at 2 months and just introduced flowering 2 days back. so i got another month, month and a half if all goes right with flowering.

I also had to stop caring for her everyday, because it was driving me insane watching the growth day byday. hahah
just check her once , then get away and forget about it till later on.

I was sitting thinking all day how glorious this is hahah

then irritaion kicked in cause i couldnt smoke the dam thing already hahah

Yeah I have pretty much gotten to the point of not really bothering them everyday. Just have a peek at them every once and a while so I actually notice new growth and not just wonder if t's progressing
