Day 14 of Flower
They are moving right along, looking healthy as ever. Well the C99 closest to the tower fan were wilting/curling, so I changed the fan from a tower to a regular blade fan and all the plants seemed to like that. I also just found out they make oscillating fans that clip on to tent poles, oh it would be so nice to get all the fans off the floor of the tent.
Yesterday I trimmed the lower junk off and did some defoliation to help the LED penetrate a bit more. The golden cobra didn't really need much trimming, just took a few of the bigger leaves off and removed the lowest of the bud sites.

I was also able to grab a few clones from another Golden Cobra from a buddies grow. Ill pick one to keep and flower the other 5 to see how different it is from the one I already have. His mother is a tighter node spacing so I already like that about it.

And the Love Shack. In hind sight I definitely did NOT need to grow out 3 males. Its so dusty in the tent if you bump it wrong the air gets cloudy to the point you lose visibility. Super thankful that Im not allergic to pollen.

Also gave them a good dose of food. Recipe is per/gal and I mix 4 gallons at a time and bubble for 24-48hrs. I split the 4 gallons across all the plants. Sometimes I follow up with another gallon of fresh water if there isn't any run off from the first feeding.

22 days in flower

The start of the good times has begun! Both plants are starting to produce trics, lots of them. The Cobra has started to give off a tangerine odor, Im getting pumped about that. The smell and flavor was the big talking point with the first one I grew. The Cobra is a bit lengthy so depending on final harvest and quality I may pass on trying to BX this one and try my luck on the next Cobra bean to drop.

I also picked up a battery powered fuel transfer pump to help with the watering. ITS AWESOME! It makes hand watering each plant a breeze!

And the 2 plants I had with the males in the other tent. Anyone have an idea if I can put them in the main tent with out pollinating the rest? I've been rinsing them off but can still see pollen on the leaves and Im sure its in the felt too. Im just wondering if its been a week since the males where alive, is the pollen still viable enough?

Moved a few things around today. Put the 2 girls that got pollinated back into the larger tent with the rest of the flowering girls. I also took the partition down in the larger tent so I now have a 4x5 for flowering in. It was nice to give them a little bit of extra space. I took the mothers and clones of Golden Cobra #2 and put them into the tent I had been using to pollinate. This all freed up an old Mars 300 that I put in the flower tent to help with the extra space.
The smells are getting really good, dont smell them when opening the tent yet but rubbing the buds gets the aroma flying. The Golden Cobra smells very strong tangie and I cant put my finger on what the C99 smells like but Ive smelt it before and its very nice. Sweet and something, cant put my finger on it.

Bad News, I have found numerous nanners in the Golden Cobras, 3 out of the 5 so far. I thought it might be due to light pollution from the other side of the tent but the C99 haven't shown me any yet so Im leaning towards its genetics (fem seeds after all). I'll finish these girls out and clean up the tent then get the next Cobra rolling.

I got seedy weed my last grow. No nanners though. Pretty sure light leaks and poor light habits by me. Still some pretty good smoke. Just a bit embarrassing to share with people and having to explain that there are seeds in the buds. My sons have never seen buds with seeds...

lol, must be nice growing up on such prime buds. I remember dime bags of bird feed.

I was expecting seeds on almost everything due to the males being just around the corner but now I wont know if its from the hermy or the males. On a side note, they smell SOO good right now, the next 25-30 days cant go fast enough!

Day 49! Next weekend the C99 is coming down!!

I've dropped off the feeding and now they just get water and molasses. I may give the Cobra 1 or 2 more feedings to help them fatten up a bit but I think they are doing ok.

Day 56, Almost harvested the C99 today. Had planned on it and got everything ready and set up to do some trimming but when I pulled the first one out and gave it a closer inspection, I decided the C99 could use another week. So back in the tent and they'll get another watering before chop chop!
Just a couple of photos of one of the C99. NEXT weekend the C99 WILL come down, the Golden Cobra goes about an extra week. I did pull a couple taste testers off each type and they were spectacular to say the least, cant wait to get a finished properly cured bud in the bong.

Thanks OF, my favorite time of the grow when all the colors start to come out. I wish it lasted a little longer than it does.

Any way, I thought a feeding schedule of how I fed them from the 12/12 flip would nice to see. Let me know if you have any comments on how I fed them, too much, too little, to frequent? Im kinda new to the brewing of EarthJuice and just threw it at em this run.

also side note, anyone know how to make larger pictures? I know how to resize them on my computer but no matter how big they are they get compressed into the size of the photos above. Just curious.

The C99 has been harvested, dried and now in jars for the cure. I took 1/2 the Golden Cobras last night and the rest are coming down right after Im done here.
So far early smoke reports from teaser branches I took early have the C99 with a super strong head high. Smooth smoke to for being quick dried. She doesn't have any odor or flavor at all though, just as plain as can be.
The Golden Cobra has a very pungent fruity candy aroma which tastes exactly how it smells. The early tests are a very nice mellow muscle relaxation that has me just sinking into my chair. I cant wait for the cure to bring out whats missing with this one!
I was also successful at not bombing the entire grow with seeds. The plants I pollinated are just stuffed full with seeds and the ones I didn't want, dont have many at all. Now to get the next set of males for the cobras mother.

The Cobra is drying now and even with 2 new carbon filters running the entire house is saturated with an odd candy fruit smell. Not gonna lie, Im stoked for this bag.

Done and Done! Final weigh in was some where around 6oz Golden Cobra and 5.5oz Cinderella. I say somewhere because I smoke a jar of each before I weighed it, my bad...
The C99 doesnt stand out much in the odor department but has a nice smooth earthy smoke to it, and the high it up there. Very uplifting and energizing. I'll say Im not a huge fan of Sativa highs but this one is very nice.
The Golden Cobras are very pungent with a fermented fruit salad odor. Sweet n tangy, the flavor matched perfectly too. The smoke is a bit harsher than the C99 but still rather smooth and the high is an instant body relaxation. I love this right after work and before bed.

I would switch the light cycle to 12/12 and see if that changes anything. Even with autos there is a small chance you'll get a photo plant. However I did have an auto once go 2 months before it started to flower, so your friend may just need to wait another week or two.

@Dogweed Beautiful pictures and timeline!! Growing for the first time this past Feb. I have OG Kush AUTO getting nice flower buds on it. How long do AUTO take to finish when they get into flowering?
