I managed to setup the 4X4 in the attic. There's still room to get around it even. I doubt it will get very cold with the tent closed and the light on, so I set a 4" duct fan to come on if temperature gets above 75. I'll figure out how to vent more air this weekend. They look pretty unhappy right now. Could that be the low humidity?

How's them attic girls doing. Prob appreciate the tent.
One looks happy, but the other three still have their leaves pulled in tight. I didn't think to take a pic, and I haven't come up with a way to use the wifi camera in there - yet. I'm keeping it between 70 and 75 degrees in there, so they should hopefully come out of it soon. Wish I hadn't tossed my little humidifier last Spring. It would come in handy now.

Also received the SF clone from my friend. With luck the one surviving seedling from all my attempts will be a male, and I can try making regular seeds again. No one I know of has managed to get usable pollen from a reversed SF female. When she's big enough I will make more clones and give it another try, though.

I up potted the 4 GOG X BSHW seedlings. Stupid me managed to drop one on top of another while moving them out of the grow room. They both fell out of their solo cups, but I didn't see any obvious damage. I guess I'm living up to my user name : )

In the attic tent I added a heater with a temperature controller to keep it between 60 and 70 degrees. Supposed to get down to 19 degrees tonight, and these poor plants have had enough of the cold. I also duct taped some thin insulation to three sides of the tent which worked pretty well to keep the heater from coming on for more than about 10 minutes an hour.

They are looking a little better, but still unhappy. Only thing I can think of is the low humidity is problematic for the auto water pots. They sure aren't drinking very much, which makes no sense for plants in flower. I don't really care if I lose them, but it will bug me if I lose them and don't know why!

Definitely lost one of the dropped seedlings, and might lose the other. It's leaning over in the pot now when it wasn't this morning. I just happen to have two habanero plants looking for a home, so those pots are likely where they will end up. The rest of the autos and the freaks are pretty happy. I'm going to have a ton of seeds soon.

I've been thinking the auto water pots are providing too much water in this low low humidity, and that's why the attic plants are all looking... over watered. I added trays under three of the five to see if they improve while the other two don't. I have veggies looking for a home, so I'm probably going to cull some of these anyway. But if the ones in trays recover I will at least know what is going on.

Not much to report in the grow room. Everything is moving slow this week. The tomato tent is happening, though. The thing is encroaching on the space I was reserving for pepper plants. If it wasn't covered with tomatoes I would be cutting it back to keep it under control. As it is, I think I will add a trellis on the right side and force it in that direction.

The weather turned warm and rainy yesterday. Not sure if that had anything to do with it, but the two I didn't separate from the auto water pots look recovered while the other three do not. I guess I will go back to using the auto water pots, even though I still have no idea why they are stressed.

I'm reserving the 4X4 in the attic for veggies once the autos are done. That means the poor GOG X BSHW seedlings are going to be culled. The grow room is mainly for the freaks, and I know how big the GOG X BSHW will get if I let them.

The freaks are doing well, both the one I planted and the clone I received back of the clone I gave away. Another week and the one I planted will be ready to clone as well. Maybe I can flip it then and get it pollinated straight from the male auto which is still going strong.

Still not fully recovered, but good enough for left over plants I wanted to give away. I'm about to chop the male in the grow room and collect some pollen for the freaks. Once that happens I can move these back to the grow room to party with their pregnant sisters.

I culled the seedlings in the grow room. I was originally going to move them to the 4X4 in the attic once the autos were done, but now I plan to grow more veggies up there. Also moved the auto females close to the male for a few final shakes of the male branches. The pots and floor are covered with opened pollen sacs. I'll pull the male out this weekend.

They are all in the grow room now. The male is chopped and drying in the fridge. I collected enough loose pollen, I probably won't need it, but who knows. I vacuumed the pollen sacs up and 24 hours later misted the room with water before moving the other autos in. Now I'm trying to decide whether to drywall the attic now or to move some tomato and pepper plants to the 4X4 up there. Leaning toward dry wall and turning the whole space into a grow room.

t sounds great I love my grow space and would make it bigger If I could

Soon to be new grow room, 30'X8' growing space... Kind of a wreck at the moment, but I plan to start hanging dry wall over the break. It will be just me and my ladder, so will probably take all winter to hang and mud. The builders definitely didn't make things easy. Nearly every angle needs something added to anchor the sheets.

Still trying to decide on insulation on the ceiling and slants, since normal fiberglass insulation would block airflow and require sealing all the vents (I think). I'm thinking the double sided radiant insulation would be enough. Just glue or staple it right to the drywall before hanging.

That right there....that would be my last growroom. Gotta say I'm a bit green with envy. So much potential in there.

Someday down the road you'll have to share your floor plan for making different flower n veg areas.

This is going to be awesome to watch.
