clones under hid?

I know that normally ppl frown on this kinda lighting but is it just because of the heat? I mean If i have my babies under a 430 sunagro hps in a dome will they get to hot? Because I have been able to keep my temps down with the use of a fan will this affect the humidity tho in a dome?

Yes, heat is the problem. Just raise the light about 2 1/2 to 3 ft away from them and they should be fine. I have a clone under a hps right now but it's a 70w, big heat diff.
