Very nice plants.
You think I'll get some seed within 4 weeks though? They were 12/12 for 2 weeks(beginning june)then went to 18/6 a week ago, then back to 12/12 this past Friday. Those would easily do 12/12 now. I started one 3weeks above the ground and it got pretty big. Your just seeking seed so let them fly..lol
That's some good info to know, I was wondering if them turning red/brown was an indicator of being pollinated but yes this is strictly for seeds. I'm gonna be getting into growing a little more with a friend back in Missouri and am trying to build up a decent bank.I'd love to teach you how to do this correctly. You have some wonderful strains to work with if this is a
sample of things. Hopefully your starting out just wanting to make seeds for yourself....
Here are a few hints after reading thru this thread....
To Speed things up: I've actually started photo periods on 12/12 from the get go... see, they will still veg
grow for 3wks before showing the ***, male maybe a bit earlier. they will still demonstrate the stretch so some can get a nice size still..
Mark the day of the first pollen drop onto the plants.... the more hairs the females have exposed, the more seeds you'll get... pollen gets onto these, they turn brown/red and shrivel up back into the calyx.. Preggo... yeah. (The longer you leave the male inside allowing pollen sacs to open, the more seeds)
6wks.... from the last pollen drop. this is the rule to have good viable seeds with no germination issues.
These basic things will help you be more successful... 6wks to make viable seeds from pollen drop.
If you can... collect pollen so next time you can hand paint a few branches so not all the buds are seeded..
Carty
I just have mine next to each other with no fan.Just plant spunk everywhere and then to do this, I'm pretty sure she's pollinated but man I feel dirty now haha
You now have to go door to door and admit to people your a registerd plant offender... hahahaha...Just plant spunk everywhere and then to do this, I'm pretty sure she's pollinated but man I feel dirty now haha
Jan... do you notice if the female leans towards the male... try giving them a little space towards the end.. teasing her like that is good for her, called good stress.... she'll lean towards him, wanting him... lol.I just have mine next to each other with no fan.
The first day or so I had a fan on low, but I stopped that. No fan. I rotate the female every 12 hours and hive him a good shake a pollen cloud goes right to her. I am pretty sure she is good. I am going to keep doing this until I start to see visible signs of seeds starting or until he gives up the ghost. I want seeds from her. A lot of seeds too. I have plans for this strain.
Sounds exciting. Look forward to seeing what happens.Got an update, plant at my friends house dropped seeds maybe a week ago. Not long after I left being the point so for future reference. I think carty or someone mentioned about 6-7 weeks for seeds. Any way I've got those coming and some good Colorado honey. I'm finally upgrading tent, light, and pots so more grows coming soon! Hope you folks are good!
