Anyone got any info on using a battery or solar pump to supply water to a plant from a 5 gal bucket? I was thinking about having the little pump somewhere and then have some kind of container with a couple of gallons of water and slight nutrients and have some kind of a timer so it only comes on like 5 minutes once a week... Any way to do this? Any info on stealth irrigation would be great too...

On cheap way is to fill the bucket with a nute solution, drill some small holes in the bottom amd leave it in the grove.

Thats not controlled enough and could probably cause root rot... Anyone else with ideas?

I looked into this as I had an Idea as well. There is a good book for this as well its called "Marijuana Hydro Gardens" The Techno Grow by Tom Flowers
He does not talk about size of solar panel or the size of pump he just talks about using a solar pump to fill a reservoir the supplies water to the plants from a near buy stream or something.

I looked up solar panels on line and found hobby size panels for different uses.
I did find many that where for a pond that would flow water up the pond. This would work for a small scale but it would have to be configured to a timer of some kind unless you wanted it on 24/7.

u might try a Sprinkler system that might work.. not cheap though But could be Modified for what U want..

Go Idea ! let us know what u did to make it work....

go to lowes homedpote and ask question ! They might Help..

I was thinking of using the kind that pump for garden streams and stuff and have it fed from a 5 gallon bucket and find a way to put a timer for like 1 mind once a week or however much i would need... Any cheap way to do this? I would probably need a power timer but im not sure if they make that for solar power but i'm sure there is one somewhere for battery power...

This seems rather costly and would probably be over 100 bucks to do right and take some work... Think ill just stick to normal hand watering...

how about at lowes, 310 gph water pump? run with battery pack?
