Hello everyone... Yes..Another newbie...Another round of questions...

INFO....

1. I got these seeds from a few sacs I got.. Indoors..Good stuff.. I bought this where it's legal so store bought stuff is usually named (no, I don't know what breed this is)..

2.. I have some of them in a balcony box with the rising Eastern sun. I started with a mixture of rose soil and regular plant soil.

3. I have 8 plants now ... anywhere from just sprouting with the 2 starter leaves to 6 cm with 4 leaves..

4. I put a few more seeds I found in "seedling" soil and have them in cardboard growing trays (the roots are supoposed to grow through allowing the whole thing to be placed in the next size pot. Pretty much the same lighting.

5. Everything seems to be doing well on its own (but as I know nothing on this topic, I can't be sure)...

Questions...

1...What do I need to do next?? Anything?

2.. Why do people make a big deal out of "male and Female" plants? Does it make a difference for burning or just mating plants? (I'm staying amateur)..I've read you should separate the two? Why is this? As they are still very small (and I don't know the difference between the two) should I wait till they're bigger before doing so? I have a few in one big pot...

3......How long before the plants will be full grown?

4.. Funny questions but... What do I cut off of the plant to burn? When do I do so? Do I need to dry it out for a few days?

5... Any recommendations are welcome..

Thanks for your time folks....

Answers..

1. let them grow, after eight weeks of growth they will begin to show sex i.e. male/female. do nothing but water and make sure no bugs develop.

2. The Female is the part that we all love to smoke, it is the sticky icky. males have flowers and spread pollen which make seeds in the females, this is not always good. to have higher resin content, we want the absence of male pollen, best way to do this is..pull the males and kill them, or move them to a seperate area no where near the females and collect pollen. BTW a plant with no seeds is also refered to as sinsilmila (can't spell).

3. depends on when they finish flowering. usually in the north eastern US. they finich outdoor anywhere from early sept. to mid late october. this all depends on when the white crystals start to turn a little cloudy and the just when they go amber, cut them.

4. you cut off the part that is very sticky with all the little red/white/pink/ ect. hairs growing out of it, then you have to dry it really good, then when it is dry, place it in a glass jar and open it once a day for a month to let some fresh air in, this is the only time when the air is a good thing for your pot. after the month is over, you can enjoy your harvest. this is known as curing, the process of this is to break down the chlorophil in your plants that would give it a harsh lawn clipping like taste, and it brings out the sweet or earthy flavor of your plant. trust me, it is worth the wait.

5. Any more questions are welcome as well. and if you haven't bought any fertilizers yet, get the fox farm trio, has all the organic ferts you need for a great haelthy grow

Thanks T-Bone..

I'll see if I can find an equal to the fertilizer you stated. I'm not in the U.S. so we probably don't have the same products, but as we have grow stores here, I'm sure I can find something close (although the language difference can be a struggle sometimes).

I'm sure more questions will pop up soon, so thanks in advance.

Oh.. Is it bad If I lose a leaf on a seedling? It's not one of the first two, but one of the 2nd set...

Thanks again...
