I had some thirsty girls in my veg room 1 day ago, I am ready to take clones from the moms that got thirsty and droopy leaves, but am wondering if I should wait for the plants to heal for a week? Any suggestions.

I would wait til the plant is fully hydrogenated before taking clones. IMO this is 2 or 3 days after watering.

I would wait a few days till they perk back up.

My plants seem perked back up within hours of underwatering, it really takes this long?

I find the same, if they get droopy, they bounce back in 3-4 hours.

Mine only take a couple of hours too GD, but I would just hate to over stress them just to be able to clone.

that's my way of looking at it if they got to the drooping stage they have had a little stress and they need time a couple days to recouperate.

Hours, yeah. If it takes days, something else is seriously wrong.

It will perk back up within hours, but stress may take a day or two to recover from. IMO :)
