Advice on autos

I'm sorry for starting a new thread on this, but I've read much of the autoflower stuff here and I'm still undecided .

I want to grow some autos in my garden. So I'm looking for something as low growing as possible. Given a choice, something potent, toward the couchlock end of the spectrum.

Also, are the feminized seeds worthwhile?

I'm with you Art! I want to try some of these puppies too.

I'm wondering how much cured weight is common from one plant, outside in about 2/3 sunlight.

I'm also thinking of using pots for all of the initial ones so that I can carry a male around to the ladies and tap some love pollen on all of them.

I'd most definitely want to seed my first crop.

Thanks, stoneybud. You made me realize that maybe I should have mentioned they'll be grown in full southern Fl sunshine.

I'm toying with growing them in 2 gal hempy buckets.

I've been looking at Lowlife AK47 x Hindu Kush:

At $7.20 USD a seed, that's not a bad price. Figure at least half will be female. That's only $14.40 per/ounce of weed.

If the high is respectable, I could live with that.

Art Ive done alot of reading on the Autos lately as i just picked up 4 different Lowryder strains( LR#2, Diesel Ryder, Blue Ryder, Easy Ryder) and everything i have read said to use 3 or 4 gallon pots... Or you could have a signifigant drop in yield...

Thats not my experience... just what ive read from others journals...

i planted some lr2 sraight into the soil outside last yr ,,they didnt get bigger than 1.5 ft ,,,,but great to hide amongst other plants

i wouldnt go with femanized as you cannot clone them ,,at least you can make seeds with anymales you find

How much cured weight did you get off them, UKG? How was the high?

The yield outside from a UK grower will be different than most US growers, we have 365 days of sunshine.

Its a shame that it is hidden by cloud for 300 days of the year though :rofl:

Auto's will give on average 2 ounce wet grown inside with optimum conditions, grown outside will be will be considerably different here in the UK.

So comparing and expecting similar will give a false expectation, you in the US will get more than we do.

I just harvested an auto AK47 with 51gms wet, she gave me 19gms dry.

£4 a seed for 19gms is good in my book

I have also had a plant give me 0.8 of a gm dried, but that was a very strange scenario grow.

Yeah man, that's like Florida. They call it the "Sunshine State" but don't tell you that 2/3 of the sunshine is in the liquid form.

So if I planted a couple of packs of Lowryder strains outside in Florida now, I might harvest 20g cured weight per/plant?

That works for me.

Auto Hindu Kush will give a face numbing body stone where you do not want to move for hours.

All Auto's will give a harvest within 1 week of each strain.

I found something out about the HK, the bigger the pot (I only grow in pots) the bigger the plant.

In the ground or in a pot, give it at least a gallon of fertile grow medium.

My other HK that are growing in 1 gal pots are 4 times the size, so it seems restricted roots will give small plants.

Auto AK47 are very potent, very stinky sometimes and very cerebral.
