hey everyone. i have a bucket that i threw 5 bagseed seedlings in at once. it was in my vortex journal that you can see through my signature. a few people asked if i would keep an update on how things would pan out with having to pull the males out.
1 of the plants grew huge and i thought it was a male.....turns out, it was the only female! i pulled 4/5 plants out today.......lets see what the roots and plant does....just changed res...only 350 ppm, distilled water, ph is 5.7

:48:

yeah, all the plants were very happy as you can see in the pics....im acually happy i was left with 1 female.....bumper harvest when vegged out nicely.

its all in the style loolagigi.:)

take for instance, IF you would had used a different net cup, say a 5.5 inch, with 4-5 plants, they would all be dead right now! you could not untangle those roots whatsoever, w/o killing the show...

in this fashion you've showed, with the whole lid net pot, you could grow out those same 4-5 plants to finish, with little problem. at least, i could.;)

how bad was the roots entwined? dont look as if they were very bad at all. the shot i would have loved to seen, would have been the roots left on the one fem, as it looks like you may have left much of the male roots entwined to the existing fems roots, that will die off, and end up in your rez causing rot...

many flushes will come from this style of grow to get rid of the rot...

peace...

u just pulled the plants up, leaving the roots of the males in the bucket.....no root rot yet. female looks happy.

IMO..leaving roots in res to rot is not good for anything.
