26 watt compact flouro

will a 26 watt compact flouro supply enough light for my five germinating seeds? if not where can i get the cheapest veg set up possible?

A very general rule of thumb is that your garden needs 50 watts of HID lighting per square foot of illuminated area. This rule ignores the shape of your garden, so the following is really a better guide:

I use 2 26W compact flos to root cuttings, but for starting seedlings I notice they stretch a little. Best to follow hicks link and meet the needed light per square foot.
