Hey all, hope you can help. Check out the images for details.

It's a small garden in my spare bathroom. Personal smoke only. The base is a 10 gallon tub of soil, 250 W lamp on top. The soil is new Miracle Grow, so I'm not concerned about nutrient burn.

I recently transplanted a couple plants to better position them within the tub and had to water a lot. That seemed to bring on some tip rot / curl up on some leaves. The affected plants however were not limited to the plants I moved, afaict, symptoms seem tied to specific strain. The light was pretty close but the room temp never topped 80 F.

The plants are totally cool and are doing well but I'm trying to figure out if I burned them a bit with the light or maybe over watered. Interestingly enough the affected leaves were on one strain in a mix of two, the other strain seems to show no effect. There's also no correlation between the distance to the light and the burned leaves. Has anybody seen this before?

Could very well be your problem right there. Is it cut with anything, perlite, vermiculite, etc? MG is good for a few dozen waterings, imo, they do fine for a while, then start burning. Nothing that will kill it, but still too hot with the time released-ness. At least these are my experiences.

TBG grows his stuff in the timed release MG. MJ grows great in miracle grow but if you add other nutes to it then it could nute burn but probably not with straight MG, judging by the shiny leaves I would assume it's bein torched by the light

I agree, that 3rd pic looks like heat stress.

I would assume the shine is resin production because of the heat it's recieving. It's a way for the plant to save itself.

my second grow did that(leaves turned up on edges)and i learned somewhere
they do that to transpire more moisture which makes sense ...room was pushin 90 during the summer.hope it works out.

thanks for the feedback. I raised the light 8 inches and it went away. mucho appreciated!
