Hey Ham,

That is the best notion I have heard in days.

I know I ruffled a lot of feathers in here, but some of you really have no idea who I am, though you talk as if you do know me.

I am, and have been a very peaceful Mod. I have written a small number of posts over the years, I think somewhere around 4000 posts, but then I'm not the gabby sort. No dis intended to those that love to write, I think it is wonderful that you do.

My posts do not reflect how much I am here though.

Most folks here do know me, and I have never heard folks talk about me like that before. I have always given out with the attaboys, and the serious thumbs up, even the doft my cap to you compliments, and these I serve up privately for the most part.

I have only given one or two temp bans in all the time I've been here, yet some of you act as if you know all about what goes on between myself, MarP and the other Mods we have had.

I can handle the belittling that is aimed at me, but it is wrong to put it on others, and really guys, I know your all a good bunch of eggs, but you all ought to know better than to say that kind of stuff about a Mod, I have never deserved that.

I'm not saying that I'm perfect, far from it, but none of you guys would take that from anyone, why should I ?

I know that 4u2sm0ke is your friend, and that you guys like him a lot. I like him too, but not when I get a finger thrown in my face.

Yeppers, I barked at some folks here, but I sure didn't kick any hot coals in anyone's face as it were. I get hot under the collar just the same as any one of you, but try to remember I am a human too. Don't try to rip me down please. I have tried my best to be cool, and my giving 4u a time out of only 3 days was me trying hard to be fair.

I haven't deserved the way you folks have gone off on me, but I guess I can understand it in a way. I am firm, but I have always been fair.

Should any of you feel that you need to jump some more, then by all means jump, but aside from the last two days, show me where I have ever hurt one of you.
Show me. I'm a great listener, and a fair man.

As BackWoodsDrifter might say it, " I'll be sitting by the fire," with a bowl as Ham so smartly mentioned. Jeez I need it...

Kk - I do know what goes on behind the scenes here since I was in your shoes long ago. I would have never banned a well respected member over some new person or spammer. You said something along the lines of making this a friendly place that's attractive to people who might like to join. I have to disagree. As you see, banning 4u has caused more drama then what led up to all this. I missed some of it but I've seen several threads after the fall out and I've come to my own conclusion. Sounds like 4u was just doing what he thought was right and bigtime got crapped on for doing what the thought was right for MP.

I'd also like seeing you post more as well. Seems some folks don't even know who you are. I'm glad chef was added to the mod crew since thg seemed to be doing it all by herself.

I remind myself that he just got a 3 day ban. But still...

I know when Im pushing it. And 4u2 aint no dummy, he knew. Just sometimes it feels good to run with it.

I agree with SM. Maybe if you posted more, and were more of an active member here, rather than just a mod, then people would feel more comfortable. I completely understand the need to keep certain members in line here. This is my only home. I dont want it littered with negativity, but there shouldnt be a need to make an "example" out of a senior member that is well respected, and frankly has done more good here at MarP than most any Mod we have had.

Nothing was personal, except the limited amount of posts you have done in the last year.
For me, I would expect my Mods to be an active member on the board on which the Moderate. Sure, thier are exceptions, people have real life issues going on too.

I know, I know, it was a while back for sure, but I remember it.

IMO, threads should run thier course, as long as folks are bein' fairly civil, or other members are calling for it to be closed.

You should post more too man, I miss your input on alot of subjects which I know you have great knowledge. You will garner much more respect and your decisons will not be questioned if folks see you take an active part of everyday subjects, not just layin' the hammer down.
