My plants are about 2 months outdoors. The leaves on the bottom are looking pale green while the upper leaves are dark green this seemed to happen in the last couple of days. The are about 3-4 feet tall and no sign of male/female plants yet. Will I be seeing buds soon or am I impatient?

pale green meanin light green, yellowish green or dark green ? if a lighter green from the top i'd say lackin N(nutes) but like we always say round here.
