upgrading question

hi folks, im upgrading from 400w hps/mh to 600w air cooled hood, im going to build a new room and i have the option of making it any size i need, so what size room is ideal for 600w air cooled hood?

Depends on the foot print of your reflector. What type of system you are planning on using? Just as long as you are getting 5000 lumens/sqft what ever is easiest for you to work in, I would say. Mine is 3 x 6 roughly

probaly 22in-24in reflector
3x6 would be longer and narrow
wold 3.5x4.5 be good or too big for 600w

I have 6 plants in a dwc

That would give ya 15.75 sqft with 5714 lumens/sqft which is good.

If you are making your room, I think that one that is more square gives you more even light coverage. My closet is about the same size as pcduck's--3 x 6.5--and I use a 1000W, mostly so the ends of the closet get enough light.

thanks pcduck, i think im gonna go for 3ftx5ft, actually would a squqre room be more ideal like say 4x4ft, i know im over thinking it but i wanna get it right

if you had 600w and could make room any size what size would you build??
