Two men have been arrested on suspicion of growing and selling marijuana after detectives responded to their online ad on Craigslist for high-grade pot, according to a Hemet police sergeant.

Ronald Gray, 36, of Moreno Valley and Frank Lewis, 30, of Wildomar were taken into custody after undercover officers arranged an undercover buy on the outskirts of Hemet about 8 p.m. Friday, according to Hemet police Sgt. Jim Anderson.

Police said they seized about two ounces of "high grade" marijuana, then searched a home in Moreno Valley and found marijuana being cultivated inside and outside the home, according to Anderson.

Anderson described the scene inside as a "small indoor grow" and said four plants were growing in the yard. Officers found three-quarters of a pound of packaged marijuana, a small amount of marijuana being dried, and an unloaded rifle, according to Anderson.

Charges included possessing marijuana for sales, cultivation of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and conspiracy to commit a felony, Anderson said.

Hemet police have also arrested several prostitutes after they advertised their services on Craigslist, according to Anderson.

But this is the first time Hemet police have made an arrest that involves alleged drug dealers advertising on Craigslist, according to Anderson.

Nobody said you had to be the sharpest tool in the shed to grow. But to grow high grade? and then do something this stupid.

they should of just put a stand up in front of the police station with a sign sayin high grade marijuana for sale it would of saved the tax payers money from the needless investigation and undercover buy that the cops prob got paid overtime doing

YO craiglist.org is cool.. but *sigh* it not safe anyway it has lot of spammers..

About two weeks ago a friend and myself were looking through the local Cragslist at quads and bikes. There was a new header that read "420 reasons" We took a look and some guy wanted to trade for a bike and ended his post saying "I have 420 reasons in four different flavors". It was gone the next day. Never heard if any arrests were made or if he got away with it.
