The Stoner Design

Hey guys
This summer I am thinking of redoing the look of my entire apartment...what I wanna do is give it a hardcore stoner look....So, far my ideas include magazine racks placed on two walls for my collection of High Times and Cannabis Culture and also I have a lot stoner art posters I am going to be picking up soon aswell...The only thing I am hung up is the colour of paint I should use on the walls


So, I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions as we are all Stoners!

Smokinmom has already given me some awesome suggestions
Wall Colour - Black, Red, Purple
Curtains - Black
and Lava lamps which I totally forgot about! lol

I've also been trying to transform my room to give it a bit more character. (as the money SLOWLY comes in lol...)

If you don't want to go for a very radical black/purple/red look, I'd recommend maybe a dark green? Like a forest green, in my mind I imagine it would produce a nice mellow mood, and of course green is everyone's favorite color on this forum some way or another

Aside from lava lamps, you can get one of those Crystal orbs with the electric lines that respond to your touch. (I got one of those, pretty fun when you're high. Shocking sometimes...literally!)

Favorite movie posters...As far as art posters, check out Salvador Dali for very surreal trippy stuff.

Maybe have one wall with like 3 portraits lined up in the middle, and a blacklight hovering over them. Make sure the portraits have the neon colors that respond well to Blacklighting. Man, that'd be cool.

As far as furniture, try like low-ground furniture. Very chill-out stuff. Excess amounts of pillows, give it a very Back-to-India feeling.

Dang, if only I had the money for all these ideas good luck man, hope it comes out cool.

Dude thats awesome thanks man! I am going to try to implement all of those ideas...as the money slowly trickles in for me aswell but thank you very much!!! Those were the type of ideas I was looking for!

Ok, this is before your time I bet. Yes, in the 70s every dorm room had a black light to glow up the colors in incredibly tacky posters, mostly "op-art" and fantasy themed.

Also, "tie-dye" throws over the furniture, macrame plant hangers, bean bag chairs, waterbeds. Brass statues of Hindu gods.

Sad to say, if a had a bong to take me back, I could go on & on, but ogle these & if ya like them here's the link for hundreds just like 'em.

Me and the doc dont really have a customized pad, although ive always wanted a smoking room.

Well you cant go wrong with greens. pale colours and good lighting. ive got a few blacklights around, and there fine for chilling out, but when you need to find something in a room with a blacklight your a bit screwed lol.
