Im new to growing and admit I dont know ****. That being said, I read one site about growing that said that the light/happy/energetic stone versus the couch locked sleepy stone has less to do with the strain than WHEN it was harvested. This source suggested harvesting a few buds for your personal use when the trichs are still mostly milky colored, say, 20% have gone to amber, for the energetic happy high. This source also said that the the MUNCHIES are less when weed is harvested a bit earlier.

If this is true, the same weed that will lock you in a horizontal position with only enough energy to reach for one more handful of popcorn would have let you play frisbee on the beach a week or two earlier. That's something to think about....Im interested in what the Pro's have to say about this.

you are partially correct.

True, harvesting when trichs are more clear/cloudy will yield a heady stone, while waiting for those amber trics will give more of a body stone, BUT, Indicas and sativas smoke very different, regardless of whether or not they have identical trichs.

If found a good combination of both is nice, but once in a while i like that true Sativa high, it cant be touched, and once youve experienced it, its all you will wanna smoke!
