After seeing where another grower uses a file on seeds, I thought trying sandpaper might be the thing to do. I have seven seeds that soaked for 36 hours in water, and then three days in a wet paper towel, under a cfl for warmth; still have not to crack open. So I decided to skim each seed, one at a time each seed was rolled in between thumb and sandpaper. Straight to the wet paper towel after that. I noticed the shell of the seeds lost a thin darker colered skin, and the edges were a little smoother. I will let you know if any of the 7 seeds crack open.

did you do the water test to see if they are viable or not ,,
imo it works everytime :D and it you are not sat waiting for stubbon seeds :peace:

no I didnt, I have several that just floated and some that sunk, both of which are in the tray making true leaves today. Im not sure what test it is, so Im not sure how to answer your question.

Im sorry I didnt post this right away, but 2 seeds within the hour of "skim" sanding them, had popped. approx 10 hours later a third one popped
