New grower here, been inactive lately but experimenting on bagseed.

I was planning to build a stealth grow-box, got all the info I needed. Due to a budget problem I have to be more carefull how I spend my income. (not working till febuary, not getting paid).

I already had 4 little plants growing in my window when I decided to postpone the project. I left the plants growing on their own, just watering them. I thought I could experiment all that I need to make them adapt into a small growbox. They didn't get enough and/or direct sunlight, so they streched a bit.

I had to move them because they were getting big and anyone could see them. I moved them in my room which is quite dark... I did some supercropping, some LST and some fimming. I better realize now that I' not a good grower, not when the box is already built.

I fimmed three 11" plants... the leefs on the bottom of the plant got "dry" and fell off when I tried to touch them. My plants are almost bald... they have 2, 3 sets of leefs. I was thinking of cutting them, leaving only 1 inch from the ground? Is it like fimming but took to extreme levels?

I'm not planning on smokeing them, I just want to experiment enogh. So why ask this question? I just can't cut off the plants, I grew attached to them...

Fimming them like I said above will give me some knowledge on cloneing too.

And another thing... I moved them on my balcony. Durring daytime temps are around 28-35 Celsius, and often, at night they drop under 15. Is it too stressfull? Will the oscilating temps kill them?

Thanks 4u2sm0ke, I already read most of the growing resources. That's why I asked all those questions. I re-read some, and found out why my plants are bald.

But I still don't know if it's a good idea to cut them, leaving only 1" above the soil, and "restarting" the growth. Is it ok, or they will die? I don't care if it takes very long.

And I'm unsure about the temp. problem. Hot duriing the day and cold at night. In one guide I read that they won't grow if they have less 21 Celsius, and in another I read that only frost is their problem.

So that's why I'm asking. If my answers are already answered somewhere else, sorry, i didn't find them.

No, you cannot cut them only leaving a 1" stem. They will die. If your plants are as bad as you make them sound, I would start over. Plants need light. U*nless you have adequate light, there is no reason to carry on un til you do.

If I have converted correctly, 21 C is approx 70F--a great temp. It isn't until they get below 60F that they start slowing down growth. If you are in a cold climate, keep your lights on all the time (24/7) to help warm your space.

So how much can I cut off without them dying? Don't have anymore bagseeds and I really want to due the torture now, not when I already spent money on equip. and seeds. Maybe I'll get bored, maybe I'll realize that I haven't got enough time to care for them.

I got some better nutes, I'm trying to heal them. After that I'm planning on experimenting with clones (ordered perlite and growing hormones).

I would try to take a branch with a set of leaves coming out of the top and take a clone... All you need is a razor, a cup of ph balanced soil, some $5 rooting powder found in any gardening section and a 2 liter bottle to use as a humidity dome.. It will take 14-21 days for the cutting to root then it will be a brand new plant...
