What watt should i be looking for to get my 9 seedlings off the ground before I go to HPS, I saw a few that said cool day light blubs what else should I be looking for? Is 2 36watt tubes too little light?

Im talking about the fluorescent tubes by the way

Two important things how many lumens does each 36 watt tube output?
What is the size of your area u will be growing the seedlings in?

I would go with the daylight spectrum for flourous.

I've germinated a lot of seeds with 40 watt fluorescent shop lights. Is that what you're asking about. You can buy grow bulbs that fit the fixtures. As soon as they get there first set of true leaves, you can switch to a hps. How many watts is your hps. If it's a 1000 watt you would be better of using something smaller for a while. ie cfls or... If it's a 400 or 600 then just don't put the light to close and burn them up before they get strong.

im gonna be using a 400w HPS yeh i was just asking about how to get them started with the FLuorecent before going to the HPS gonna go to more stores for looking for lights this weekend MAJOR problem is all the stores products are in german and i dont read german

I use 3 4' t8 lights. 6 bulbs alll together. Works for me. Cheap and easy.
A t5 system would be better
