seeding a plant

i have a ? for you all.
Reading about seed banks and the feminization of seeds and the chance of Hermi's
would it be good practice to get a bunch of males and females of the strain together right off the bat and send them on a date so that they can have pre marital sex creating baby seeds for us all to enjoy.
Would this create a stronger plant line with less chance of hermi's from there off spring and keep you from having to order from banks for the same thing?

I prefer to keep a mother plant and clone, rather than growing from seed. But you certainly can take your best female and your best male and have them produce seeds. You can also isolate the male, collect pollen, and just pollinate a couple of branches rather than the whole plant.

thanks THG. Ive been in wonder about that. at 50 bucks for 10 seeds i figure i can get 50 out of a plant and not have to worry for a while once i get the plant i want. I just wanted to know if it helped the strain be stronger and have less chance of Herming

If you are buying regular seeds from a reputable breeder, you should not really have to worry about hermies. Most hermies are caused by stress (particularly light stress) and/or hermie genetics (seeds from a plant that hermied). I don't think that you are probably going to improve the quality of the strain by breeding, but you can certainly get seeds. If you only want 50 or so seeds, you can pollinate a single branch. A plant that is entirely seeded will probably yield hundreds, if not thousands of seeds.
