It's been quite rainy lately, probably due to the change in weather patterns caused by the hurricane over the Baja. Not much growth in this cool, rainy weather, but the one thing I do appreciate is that the heavy rain should leach unwanted salts from the coco in the pots. After the storms are over I will carefully begin nutes again.

I could offer about 10 pages of insight into this statement. :D

You are potted and not in-ground (I assume).

It would be simple, for flushing reasons, to do it with a flush chemical specially formulated to break down salts that h2o just cannot do very well...So why dont you use Flora Kleen like everyone else ? :)

Just wondering.

Never heard of it. But the main problem is that I don't have places that sell that kind of specialised product. If it can't be found in Home Depot that's basically it ...

I never used that stuff either leafminer, but I would be more concerned with bud rot if you are getting a lot of rain.

I really do laugh at all of those special product that some people choose to buy. Everyone is trying to get a piece of the cake created by the laws based around this plant...

Thanks, pcduck. You know, I never even considered that. I have been growing outdoors for quite a few years and never had bud rot. It has been raining on and off for about a week now, I think it's part of the tropical storm complex that the hurricane caused. Temps have gone from 38C to about 23C. Now you mention it, I am going to :watchplant:

Like duck states i would be concerned about the water in the buds..here in seattle lots a rain..had lots of mold last fall..i hope to win this year..good luck to you leafminer

Hey leafminer, I use molasses for flushing. In fact I put a table spoon of it in every gallon I take to them, and the guy at the specialized store near me uses the same. But he definitely sells Flora kleen and another flushing product.

Hehe ... molasses is another product I cannot obtain. I still miss not being able to buy treacle or syrup and make treacle toffee, but maybe that is not a bad idea my teeth being so old and all... I'll just have to keep a close eye on the bud. I wish sativas didn't take so darn long to finish.
