Man I just popped some seeds into seedlings as a fun little first grow experience till I get my indoor construction done... I live in the tropics so it never gets to be freezing here, will my little plants fare well right now?

Its all about your daylight hours, how many hours of daylight are you getting now?

Roughly 13hrs... Hopefully within the next few weeks I'll have my T5's in and running.

Small seedlings may be ok if your days are getting longer as if it is springtime.But if they are getting shorteryou might wanna put them under some light.I prefer a constant light cycle until flowering. You could put them under some compact flourescents or any kind of flourescent light until you get your t5.

ok, so are you planning to get some cfl's and a real long extension cord to run outside to your plants? . . . and how would you be planning to incorporate T5's into your outdoor grow?

ok, unless you live in South Africa or Australia, or somewhere else south of the equator, summer is nearing an end and autumn is right around the corner . . . and as others are saying, this is when the plants are supposed to begin flowering !! . . . they are not pre-flowers, they are FLOWER FLOWERS . . . it's really not something you should be looking to slow down . . . is it ?? :confused2:

I know saddly thats what I was thinking, I really just had some seeds laying around that I wanted to see if I could germinate (I've never grown before) and they actually popped so nowI figured there might be a whim of hope to get any sort of outcome from them. They're only a week old from seed in a solo cup at the moment.

Then just leave them in cups under Cfl's until your light comes.
