So my buddy is in town for christmas. He's leaving on monday and it's tuesday night. I want to send him home with a little of what i have grown before he leaves but i'm still a week away from harvest and obviously a lot longer untill it is fully cured. I cut a few grams off the plant and have them hanging right now. i've read about people microwaving buds in short increments to quick dry them and others baking at low temps. I guess my question is what should i do to give the best representation of what i've grown if i only have one week to do it? I know this will be a poor representation of what the finished cured product will be but i don't want to send him home empty handed. I'm really looking forward to when he comes back in june and can smoke some that has been sitting in jars for six months but what to do now?

Hello Cad :)

Whatever method of quick dry you use it will leave the bud green and tasting of camel plop, how about making some canna butter and letting your friend take some brownies home, he could freeze them once home and eat them at his leisure.

You know what, that's a really good idea. Thank you very much. I knew the quality would be there i just didn't know what to do about the taste. That will work well.

why not leave him with some raw bud to take home a dry and cure himself?

yeah, send him home with a bud and some instructions on how to cure it, i quick dried a bud yesterday, i wont be doing that again.

oven, set to 170, flip the bud every 10 minutes until its smokeable, it wont be good, i promise, but it will get you a buzz.

If you read the dates of the posts he is already gone. Left this past Monday. I did send him home with some to dry and cure and also some butter. He promised me to let it properly dry and cure but I doubt he did.
