Purps need more nitro?

I am helping a buddy out that does Purple Eurkle and is having issues with yellowing. I have done my share of purp too and allways see the same thing. Is this an issue with purp strains? It does not seem to effect plant growth or bud development, but it bugs the crap out of me. I have noticed alot of other grows doing purp do this twords the end of cycle. Here is a couple of pics.

doesnt look like they need N looks like you need to back off the nutes. the rusting/ browning on the edge says its to much nutes. the dark green leaves say theres plenty of N. id say flush and back off the nutes some.

whats the PH? enough arreation and proper rezz temps? the leafcurl is telling something aswell.

The PH rox at 5.7-6.0. The ppm's are at the high end, about 1500-1600.

I have been running Kush and Jack Herer which both tolerate high ppm's so I think I overshot on these.

To be honest, I haven't physically checked my PH or ppm's in ANY grow I have done in the past 3 years. Long story short, my nuit mix balences out everytime. I used to be a FREAK about it. I went so far as to create an excell chart which I inputed ppm's, PH runoff ppm's, water temp and the whole nine. I would flush every week to 0 ppm. SUPER diligent for a long time.
What all the charting told me was my mix was allways right on. It has worked for all the strains I have done over the last few tears, but this particular Purp can't handle the hot mix. I got spoiled

i like running my ppms high also, came back to bite me a little this time...i,too got a slight case of "the claw". all i know about the strain i got from friend of friend is "he said he crossed 2 kinds of purple to get it and these are the first clones".

The leaf curing down means the plant is locking up.
You need to flush the nutes out of thoes babies!!!!

the leaf curl could be several things, arreation (if in hydro), overwatering, nutrient problem, heat, ph, rezz temps (hydro), ventilation/humidity.

hindsight is always 20/20.

I use the same mix for everystrain, I think you guys are correct and this particular strain can't handle the hot juice. I have about 3 weeks to go.
Do you think that flushing em out will make a differance?

seems to be the trend. If i suspect high ppm problem only, i usually just mix a weak(50%) rez for a week. not sayin thats the best thing to do, just how i do. good luck(like you need it )

Just reading here and becoming involved at this site has reopened my eyes, which all of us need time to time. It is VERY easy to become complacent in your growing habits. And I ahve been VERY fortunate in not having nuit issues for a LONG time. Of course, I still fight mites,mildew and little things, but it has been a while since I troubleshot "a sick plant"

While I am thinking about it, Sometimes I will get the plants looking a little ill while vegging. I add Advanced Nutriunts REVIVE and I can tell you, it works wonders. Basically, it adds small amounts of trace minerals to alleviate small probles in the nuit mix.

I have ran this particular purp before, and it did the same thing, but quality and weight were not effected, so I didn't really trip. This click seems to be a little worse off.

LYFR..I think I will roll with your advice and just back off the nuits for a week.
