Cannot dry indoors due to odor concerns...any possible way to dry outside? I was thinking maybe in a plastic tote with fishing line inside to hang bud with holes in the sides with screen covering them for air flow and possibly rice in the bottom to absorb moisture, am I crazy? Any suggestions

drying indoors with no smell is easy. this is what i did.

buy 2 90degree 4" pvc elbows. cut a 4" round hole on each side of the box. attach the pvc elbows to the box via superglue, tape, screws, whatever you decide to use. choose one elbow and attach a computer style fan to one of the elbows. remember you want the fan facing out. so that it pulls the air out of the tub instead of pushing it in. fill a stocking with activated carbon (sold at any petsmart). stuff the stocking in the other end of the pvc elbow that has the fan attached to it. make sure everything is light tight, and your set to go. the fan will suck the air out filtering it through the carbon. which will remove the smell of the drying buds.

dont go out and buy a big powerful fan. you want a cheap little fan that doesn't move much air. if the fan is moving too much air your buds will dry faster then you may want them to

Im a think they will condisate and the rice will mold and that wont be good...have you a outbuilding/Shed?...how about those large lawn bags from homedepot..place plant inside and climb nieghbors tree and Hang M

take care and be safe

What about if I set a battery operated fan inside the tote to keep the air moving at all times and just don't use the rice?

that may work...what size tote we talking about?

I made a dryer box years back...go to an appliance store(sears outlet) and ask for a Refrigarator Box thats all there...I opened it like you would a real fridge...take some window screens and make shelfs...cutt hole in top and bottom..at the top place a cfm to pull air through the box and out the top..conect that to a DIY scrubber...viola

you know there is not much you can do other then do your best in masking it
boil cinamin , and cloves on a stove that helps allot
last 2 weeks before chopping as well as drying process can be really stress full
one thing drying a few 0z not bad to hide but try drying 10 - 20 30+ wet pounds the smell will be there no matter what you do as all non active THC starts getting converted to THC
its the first 3 days that is killer , my last drying process friend came over and was like *** you venting it outside ?? and trust me i wasn't
he was still in his car and could smell it
your best option is lots of free breeze dry vent sheets around door of room anything to help mask it as well timing know when the power company comes and checks your meter what ever
lol Be safe

I think Shortbus has it. I dry indoors in a vented box with no odor. I have a plastic, dark colored tote with lines hung in it. There is a activated carbon filter attached to an exhaust fan inside. All the air passes through the vent and into the filter before being exhausted. Real simple - slow air movement, no smell and a quality dry.
