Pollen question

When the pollen sacs are ripe, do they just open and spill the pollen out and then the air flow/wind takes care of the journey, or do the explode and thrust the polen around?

they split---witout wind- they drop because they are heavier than air.

the pollen uses wind to carry it around along with insects, and animals.
