What is everyone using to check their pH levels? I'm gonna have to order one off the 'net, so brand name, price, and where you got yours would awesome.. Dealing with a pH problem on my plants right now and trying not to start freaking out.. Thanks so much!

i used drops from the fish store..and then I baught a millwakee digital from ebay...but realy dont check my PH unless theres a prob.. the pet store caries this test as well as PH up and down...hope this helps:bolt::bong:

4u2smoke - Being as this is my first grow and ya know the learning experience shall continue but the last thing I want is for the babies to go from good to bad..So today I was able to pickup pH up/down packet which includes a test indicator.. On one of my plants I watered a little bit, collected the runoff, and tested it, and it came out below normal.. Now to correct this do I add pH Up with the water I am using? I'm a bit lost at this point and its driving me crazy seeing the bad leaves on my plants..

Edit: And there are some recent photos of my problem under the thread in this section titled "some dying leaves, normal?"

I use an Oaktron Ph tester cost $130 Canadaian at Homegrown hydroponics its a franchise here in Canada. I could of got one cheaper off the net but couln't wait for delivery time! But the Oaktron is awesome never had any problems at all! hope thats helps!

I check my pH every single time I give water or nutes to the girls. If your pH is not right, your girls' ability to uptake nutrients is compromised.

and the hemp godess grow HYDRO my friend where you must check it constantly but in soil when I do it..I saturate the soil good..wait 1/2 hr then add my PH water and test that run off..and as for the up/down i fallow the directions which mine says 2 drops for gallon of water..good luck 2U//ill check that other thread:bong:

I use ph test strips... not sure what brand but they were not expensive...

I grow in soilless medium and what I do is start off with a nuetral soilless medium like promix Bx (ph7)and ph everything that goes in the pot, done this for every grow I've done and I've never had a Ph problem !:hubba: I figure that if the fert or water I put in is Ph'ed properly that the soilless medium will take on the ph of the liquids I put in the pot! I don't no this to be a fact but this is what I've done for my entire indoor growing span and like I said never had an issue! Hope that makes sense as I'm really really Stoned right now and hope it helps!

Bro... it wld impossible to argue that anything a guy with a laundry basket full of buds is doing anything wrong....:D You sir are my idol... I can only hope that one day I get good enough to have such a successful harvest...

Thanks for the help so far yall.. I have to agree with hamster that yes I will believe and read all of you are saying phatpharmer because you do indeed have a lovely laundrybasket!!

So for tomorrow when I go to water my plants, should I water them to collect some runoff, test it and then adjust the new water to be poured into the plants so the runoff changes to what I want?

HempGoddess - what pH tester do you use?
