when is it a good time to start planting outside

OK, Sorry to just throw one of my questions in your thread but I didnt wanna start a new thread on a similar question.
Anyways, where I live its tropical and has pretty much 12 hours of light all year round.
Why is it that plants here are able to grow tall and big?
I thought if your plant gets 12 hours of light it'll start the flowering stage.
I heard it sometimes takes up to 8 months to grow.

I'm assuming its the strain..Thanx

Local plants are adapted to it. But the growing season will be more defined than in more northern or southern latitudes.

^^ Ok now heres another question...
Would I be able to bring a plant indoor and be able to control its stages of life?
Or would it just flower when it wants to??

Thanx

Yes, you can move plants indoor to outdoor and back in to control the light cycle, just beware of pests and know that you are running a risk of introducing them into your grow room which can be a battle to fix.

Some people say that you shouldn't move the plants out of fear of stressing and possibly inducing hermie, but I have never experienced this. I have only had one hermie and have never had one from a quality strain. I will say that if you are going to be moving the plant and changing the light cycle you need to be consistent and avoid interruptions to the dark cycle, because that will greatly increase your chances of hermies.
