This morning I went to check on a plant I put outdoors. I have it in a pen with a tortois, so I caged it top and bottom for protection. Well it has grown into the cage top and sides and I wondered if I should leave it like that. I never did a scrog before but it looks like a good way to produce mostly top colas. Can anyone advise me on if it's a good idea or not?

what is your screen material? if its hardware cloth or chicken wire you run the risk of the plant being damaged by wind & what not. getting rubbed raw then whole new can o worms w/ disease will be opened up. if its plastic id say do it. maybe have side barrier far enough from plant so you can get in there & work & still protect from tortoise. youll want to trim all lower veg slowly. i believe 4u2sm0ke is thinking of doing a outdoor scrog. GL & keep us up 2 date w/ pics. speaking of where are they now? wanna see now damn it!

take care
