Un- proven heritage with this "seed". But, the "WORD" is its maui wowie.
Right now, she's gaining hieght at nearly 5' now. Question is.... when do i top her ? any other suggestions ? Thanks :hubba:

Why do you want to top her? I assume it's because of neighbors, etc. I didn't top mine. but tied them over to keep the height down some. Can you post a pic of her? It might help you with better answers. Good luck with it. I haven't had any of that in a VEEEEEERY long time.

Yes , hieght is an issue and was wondering bout tying them over. Really just was wondering how tall this girl can get ? most info that ive read so far says "bush"....Ha! right now shes a even 5' ! I've trimmed a few leaves to force more lower branching. Hoping for that pound plus being im using MassP design <in tha ground !> .
Pictures to come....

Usually If I do any topping it's done at an early age...around 1-2ft. That plant could go another 5', you just never know, unless you've grown the strain before. How old is the plant? Do you know if it's all Sativa, hybrid etc...? Put some pics up and it will be a little easier to tell.

As far as genetic's are concern....unknown as it came from a "friend". No previous knowledge other than when i sampled some it was on par with the desription of Maui wowie. Heavy indica strain with some fruityness <sp?> medium stone (couch lock type).
The Lemon D was something of a dissappointment as the flavor was there but not the "punch" i thought it should of had. prob turn all of it into hash and of course the yield was low as well.
Shiskaberries is where im heading next for flavor PLUS yield, well, hopefuly anyways !

That looks a lot like my satori, a hybrid. I wouldn't remove any more leaves and concentrate on tying the tip over to promote it bushing it out. It has potential to be a beautiful plant. What is that soil like?

I grew some Hilo plants in the ground once and they where really tall. About 12 to 14 feet tall I would say, and the buds where little pinky toes that had some solid density and the stone was hard core.:D

soil is based on MassP bucket design (coco coir/ black gold /perlite) with teas added at feeding time every other day now. Soil here is sand based river bottom stuff.

as far as cutting leaves (trimming ends to force lower branching) I've done it twice now since she seemed to staart to stretch too much. I'l be using LST from now on. I just didnt want to get something SOO large EVERY one knows about it !

I think it looks like a hybrid. The plant looks fairly young still too. If you want to hide the plant, then I would definitely start tying it down. Just like 420benny said, it will bush out more when tied over. I think it still has some height to gain.

Good Luck
