ok to clip leaf to look at trichrome?

How do you guys look at trichromes? do you just look while holding stalk steady or do you clip a small leaf? Is it ok to do a smal clipping to look with scope?

I take a clipping off leaf to check. Just a small piece. Dont know if wrong or right, I just do it.

I would guess that's how most do it...it's how I do it cause my hands aren't that steady.

Welcome to the human condition. I have always just plucked a small leaf from the bud, and yeah, this mature fella's hands are not to be trusted. If I was disarming a bomb or something BOOOOOMMMM. Yikes and Gadzooks. Time marches on.
Yeah, just taking a small leaf will cause no problems guys...
