I grew outdoors for many yrs. What I always did was find my spots I wanted to grow in, in the fall. I would dig the holes out, and put the dirt onto a tarp. Then add all types of amendments to the dirt. I'm not going to go into a whole lot of detail about all the avaliable amendments when you can look at like Subcools super soil, and other places here to see what you want to add. Then in the spring I took out clones, and popped them in the ground. If they are close enough to you, you can go add various teas throughout the grow. There are also recipe's for teas here to if you research it. If the plants were a long distance from me, in the late summer I would I would work in some time release flowering ferts. That way whenever it rains your plants are fed, saves you from haveing to travel unless there is a drought.
