i`ve got a female which is drying at the tips of new growth, in week 4 flower. it`s also curling down with no discolouration and drying out crisp.
all my other females are doing good and look healthy. can`t show any pics due to my camera being crap for detail.(check out my journal)
i`m using 400w hps, temps are steady at 80f, and the gals are all over 5ft.
this one gal has had problems before, well actually Stoney Bud diagnosed a Mg def, which cleared up the rusting etc.this is the only female which has not recovered. Not that it`s dying or anything like that, but it deffinately has problems.
because it`s only this one gal with the problem, must be something i`ve done. anyone have any ideas on this, what would make the new growth curl up like that, twisting too?
all help greatly apreciated man, :(

Hello shuggy, If i had a guess at what your problem was i would say its either Over-fertilization or you could have the same problem that i am having at the moment and that is that i am in the flowering period but my lights accidentley stayed on for longer than they should. Which has cause the plant to try and go back to vegative stage and i now have some leaves which grow almost in spirals. I wouldn't take my word for it though, see what the experts say ;)

i had that problem in veg and that was about a week ago i noticed that , so wouldnt depend on the whole flowering thing it can happen at anytime by the looks of it , its all fine now all i did was water in little doses for a few days & it cleared up but thats not a recommendation if thats the right word lol woot woot ....

P.S hello shuggystarr

here`s some pics of the problems.....
the first 2 pics are of the rusting emerging from the central vein of the middle finger leaf, the last 2 pics are a leaf from the top cola which is drying and dying, with the only discolouration being a deep green on the dried tips.
there are leaves which are turning up,down, twisting each and every way! it`s crazy man.
i`ve flushed this morning, only the gal with the problems as the others are doing great. maybe just a little curling down, but nothing that i`m worried about with that female, she looks great with a huge top cola. whilst bud production has almost stopped on the one i`ve flushed.
some advice would be nice, when should i re-introduce nutes?
as the leaves from the top cola are drying out, i`m losing good THC, i need a solution ASAP! :holysheep: :( :fid:pic quality is crap man sorry, best i can do...

I'm not positive but it kind of looks like a high ph or overwatering. Maybe someone else has a diff opinion though:D.

but this is only on one female, the rest are great??
one distinctive feature is that the leaves are a deep green-compared to all the others.
thanx for the input though BBP.

Different plants like different things. I'd try giving her less water than the rest of the bunch and see what happens.

Looking back on your grow journal it looks as if you have had PH problems from about page 5.

I believe you still are, You said PH goes from 6-7, really should not be drifting around that much.

Maybe some dirt farmers can tell you the best way to test and maintain PH in soil.

i use lime in my initial soil mix to stabilize and condition the soil, and act as a ph buffer. and the rest of the gals are great with no sign of any further problems.surely if it was a ph problem there would be more than just the one showing symptoms.when i said my ph varies between 6-7, was because i add organic ferts and the run off varies. but the ph is stable at 6.5.
anyway, it hermied on me, so i just want to finish flowering "it" ASAP.
i don`t have another space that i can use to segregate it from the others, as my veg chamber is full and my flower area obviously has the gals which i don`t want pollinated further. how can i finish flower as quick as possible so i can make hash with it, as it`s over 5ft tall and covered in trichs, but i was told i should grow it out till the end of flower. is it possible to force a quicker flower?
any ideas on what i could do with this, keeping it segregated from all the others?
i allready have another hermie growing on my balcony which is doing good, so maybe i could put it out there. however, the days are long and it may revert back to veg. maybe that`s the best option as i don`t have to worry about stressing it as it`s allready hermied!
what d`you think?
