I have some neem oil that is going to play a part in my new pest prevention regimen...

how often can/should I apply it?

I am going to rotate it in with safer soap and a mild alcohol/h20 mix ...

I have a five pronged approach for all my plants with respect to pest prevention, going forward:

All applied as to plants on a rotating basis:

1.Safer soap

2.Alcohol/h20 mix

3.neem oil

4.Azazmax treatment in the first few weeks and once more before they go into the 12/12 room

and

4.pyrethium foggers every 3 months.....

but I really want to know about the neem oil...(roned stamblings:afroweed: )

Only the craftiest of bugs could get through that.

here's a direct quote from one of the master's of breeding, Soma, taken from his book, Organic Marijuana Soma Style:

My best friend in accomplishing an insect-free garden in neem oil. Neem oil is a safe, organic product that is effective as a pesticide without the negative side effects that chemical pesticides have. It is a very good overall protective shield for the plants because it defends against multiple pests such as spider mites, thrips, white flies, root gnats, and aphids. It doesn't harm beneficial insects.

When sprayed on your plants every 3 days until the fourth week of flowering, you will have no bug problems.

hope that helps a little....

Wow every three days? I've used this stuff for years but no more than every 10-14 days max, usually only a few doses total, maybe I should be doing more? I like neem because it doesn't seem to hurt the plants at all, unlike alot of others. And it seems like after 3 rounds of it the plants seem pretty protected, except from these lil flying *******s I get in the summer, only thing kills them is my fingers, but they don't seem to hurt the plants.

no no no ....it depends first neem oil is that a oil and it clogs the little breathing holes underneath the leaves where most spider mites reside ...it is good but does slow down plant production while they process that stuff ...dude azamax is ur best friend...once a week ..but first dip ur plants....maybe bomb between cycles ...neem oil is good it creates a shield ... but also blocks foliar feeding for a minute ..... i like mixing it up but a clean area is ur best friend as well ...azamax 1week kills the moms 2 kills the babys ...dont do two things at once ...let ur plant respond first.

i've used neem every 3 days in the past with a bad mite infestation that hit late and my plants didn't show any sign of growth slowing.... there's more variables involved to slow plant growth than just neem....

i've noticed A LOT of people don't know what strength to foliar feed with and wind up burning their plants from overfeeding.... i've personally grown 20 crops in the last 5 years and have not had any need of foliar feeding.... i try to recommend feeding the soil instead....
