Natural pH uppers and downers

I was at my local hydro shop pick'n up some supplies, the clerk hooked me up w\ free pH downer but not upper. He was mentioning some alternatives to buying an actual spendy product at the store. He said lime or lemon juice is a downer, my concern with this whole mess is that my pH is at 4.4 and I need it at 6.5. My question is what can add to my water to bring up the pH till I get more cashola to actually buy the upper. Watering time is like 2 hours away...........

Baking soda?????? How would you apply it? Anymore ideas??????

mix the baking soda in with the water you are waterign with, i have no idea how much tho.
