i have really only been working with coir for about a year and I really do not know how dia earth works with beneficials but I know that many people use D.E for pest control... Now I am not totally sure how pest control relates to fungi and microbes in D.E but I wouldn't think it would be the best place to harbour beneficals... Hydroton is alright because it has pours where the beneficals can hide and multiply but coco is far superior when it comes to beneficals but may not work for all hydroponic applications without some ingenious adaptions

masspro- i know my friends prefer to use coir, DE and perlite as a "soil" or passive hydro system. they do well with beneficials.

do you ever use coir in drip hydro? i'm thinking the h20 would have to befiltered before returning to the res. that way the pump and drip line doesn't clog. what do you think, makes sense?

sorry guys. i have NO idea how that many post happened. clicked the button once... i swear. kind of annoying.

i would only run a drip to waste system with coco because I am sure it would have to be atleast filtered and maybe ph'd again in order to ensure no lockout problems

hey guys i bought some myco but i dont know what is best to mix it with water or just put it in the soil. im using ffof and if i should feed the myco mixture everytime i feed

hey daf, how did you add the myco? see any results or anything?

PS, I just added it to my beauties, I'll give ya an update soon (I had the granular kind) (I made 4-6 inch small holes and put a half a teaspoon in, in 3 different places in each pot)

I didn't water them in though, I'm gonna water tomorrow...

I've been using Earth Nectar and Earth Ambrosia along with worm castings and molassas for awhile now. Keeping my soil happy is my main goal, happy soil = happy plants

Peace...j.b.
