i modified my raft rooter clone system making it float about an inch above the water. (therefore an inch of air between water and raft.
i did this by adding peices of styrophoam at the 4 corners and a strip down the center.
my two bubblers are under each half. this raft just floats fine. i use a little aluminum foil around the 4 edges to keep dark. water temp around 75.
ph 6, extremely small amounts of rooting hormone, thrive alive, nutes.
i mean very small amounts, few drops. just a tease.
I also use the half inch tubing, one inch long, method for each of 6 holes. my system is small,
maybe a gallon or 2 tupperware container, about 6-8 inches deep.
all my clones stems are kept 'just' under water by a small amout maybe a quarter inch. the rest of the stem ( with minute wounds scraped) within that inch of air gets bubble bursts of mist causing an aeroponic effect. i just make sure all stays clean and easily change to a waiting duplicate container every two days for awhile then once weekly. my clones were cut a week into flower but after total of 3 weeks i see roots. takes extra time if cut during flowering of course. my first earlier veg cuts died from 'rot' using soil and rockwool darn it. too much water i guess...takes a green thumb i think...
finally found something that works for me and favor organic hydro as
my 'container' is tall about 2 foot high. (2 rectangular plastic sturdy trash cans from home depot, one inside the other) (inside has small holes is filled with small pumice) outside container has a single 1/2 inch hose near
bottom. the important waterproof connector i found at a grow store, american agriculture shop, and a few plants share it filling/trained using my 4 x 4 space and 1000w hps. air cooled. use a fan on plants of course.
im done ranting about my newfound success but im just happy i found
the important single connector. the whole thing is raised a foot or so above the res level and empties into my 20 gal reservoir. my timed pump works 10 min twice a day. im just so happy to share the cleanliness and extreme ease of this total system. i know soil and rockwool, pellets, etc are popular but whatever works is fine. if i can clone week old flowering stuff this way. i know im done searching/experimenting. i be happy. about 8 oz each cycle.
organic hydro is underestimated i think. but as stated we should all be proud
as only by increased growing will we prevail. getting off sched 1 is so important. all else will follow, get the innocent out of jail now.
what a waste of resources. go to NORML meetings. get a patient card. oh my back hurts, oh well whatever works.
easy to do..be responsible and dont overdo so much.(like this post) too much of anything, you already know about. g'night.
