What up? Ok, I am trippin' out, cause I ate a weed cookie like a week ago (a large amount), and I am still totally stoned... this **** threw me for a loop. :fly: I use to smoke through high school, but I am in Med school now, and have clinicals next month. Are the effects of ingesting weed enhanced compared to those of smoking it? Also, when are my motor skills going to kick back in? How long should I expect to be stoned after ingesting bud (never ate it before now)?

No way is thc from a week ago affecting you now. It just isn't going to happen. If you feel other than normal now, then it's something else like your diet, water intake, or something. Pot will only noticeably affect you for about 12 hours from eating it. It's detectable in your system far longer, but not noticeably psychoactive for longer than 12 hours.

Over the years I've heard a lot of stories about someone being affected for "weeks". It defies medical knowledge. The science behind it blows away the urban legends.

My best advice for you is to eat a good balanced meal three times a day and drink a gallon of water based, non-alcoholic beverages each day until your clinicals. Get at least 7 hours of sleep each night. After a week of doing this, you'll be at your best.

Stay away from carbonated beverages for 24 hours before any intense mental activity. It lowers your ability to concentrate.

Good luck man. Let us know how you do on your clinicals.
