just watched an mma match out of stockton, cali. live on my local channel. anyone else catch it? main event = robbie lawler/ scott smith , 185lb'ers , mixed it up for 2 rounds , of 5 , 5minute rounds, for middle weight championship. lawler prevailed, with a tko in the 2nd. this was a rematch for the two, the first fight ending in a no-decision, as lawler poked smith in the eye, and he was unable to continue. wondering if anyone else loves this full contact sport as i do?
 
man thats my stuff.. mma all the way.. forest griffin, he's a favorite of mine, frank meire, chuck l, nick and nate diaz, man i love that stuff. i got my butt handed to me when i was younger in a local bad man contest.. young and dumb.
 
Yeah just watched it and there were a few good fights tonight, I also have fought in a few tough man contest Slowmo never had my butt handed to me put i passed out a few *** kickins...well take care...
 
i made it thru the first two fight no problem, my third fight was the guy who won it all. first round maybe 4th or 5th punch (don't really remember it but have it on tape) i was like a wet noddle, on the ground out cold, broke my nose cracked my jaw, but keep in mind i'm a heavy weight, 6'6 280lbs, i've always been real big. that was the worst butt kickin i ever got. never even thought about doing it again.
 
That chick got beat down by that brazilain cyborg. All but one were good fights, good show indeed.
 
nick diaz also fought to retain his light weight belt, guy called mad dog. diaz stomped him very badly. imo, was better than main event. not-so little-, bad to the bone nate was in big bro's corner. while nick is a stand up, toe to toe, brawler ; younger nate is a royce gracie type in brazilian jeu-jitsu , and submission expert. i loved watching nate in (i believe it was season 5), of ultimate fighter. he became champ of his division, by defeating manny gamburyon in 20 seconds of second round after separating gamburyons shoulder with a submission hold. that cyborg chick was an awsome fight tonight also...
 
i remember watching that ultimate fighter, i watch alot of the ufc. i was a big randy coultre fan back in the day, but i can't stand matt hughs. poor rampage can't get it together after he lost to forest.. already been locked up.
 
Didn't I read that Nick Diaz spent some time (possibly still is) suspended due to his medical marijuana prescription. I remember reading that he uses it for his ADD as he didn't like the pharmesuitical versions. Legal prescription but the gaming commission still doesn't allow it.

ya i missed his last fight, from what i've read he's just a brawler. not much of a style as far as submissions and wrestling.
 
pissed me off.. i was looking forward to this fight, but the cbs channel i get (from seattle) decided to show a stupid parade and seateck fair.. whooo, just i wanted!!
so choked. i ended up watching a few events online. but man, what a piss off. stupid seattle!
i hope their ratings bombed last night.


*and kimbo ain't no real deal.. he's a joke to most MMA fans who've been watching it since before TUF..
though i will give him credit, he is starting to learn more of mma (from the master, Bas Rutten *look up some of his fights if you want to see a real MMa fighter. he was insane) but he still should be a nobody.
he's popular, and a big draw because of the street fights and stuff.. but make no mistake, against any decent MMA fighter, kimbo would get worked.
