howdy folks. i just bought 2 sunspot aircooled reflectors for my flower room, each housing one 1000w HPS. they will be used in a room approximately 330 cf (6x8x7) over a 4x6x7" E&F tray. i have never used this much power before and am wondering what size fan i will need to cool them..the rooms vetilation is controlled by one 160 cfm 4" and 2 CF 2600 filters. the math tells me that the room fan is more than enough but what about the lights...thanks

Thats almost 350 CF of space. To remove that much air in one minute would take a 350 CFM fan. I personaly like to have a negative air flow. Meaning I have more hot and smelly air being removed, then I have CF.:hubba:
Course thats just me.

no, i got the room worked out but i need advice on the cooling of the lights

I run about 65 cfm per 1000 but that depends on vent tubing length and temp of light venting intake. I actually have three 1000's hooked to a 6in fan (125cfm) w/ about 20' of venting and it works fine. My intake temp runs around 65 degrees. It will depend on your specific situation but I think my fans are on the low cfm side to give you an idea - they work quite well however. Best of luck
