I've noticed i'm not getting that explosive growth everyone else is getting from my mh. Does color temp play a role in this? My mh bulbs are 4000k, are these too far down the spectrum for plants. Should I buy a 5k or 5.5k or 6.5k? If so, where are some reasonably priced bulbs? Thanks!

are you sure all other bases are covered? feeding them properly, temps and RH in the correct range?

How old is your bulb?

e-conolight.com is selling bulbs reasonably priced and only 10.00 shipping per order.
they've also got a kick *** t-5ho 6x54 fixture for 110 bucks, lol

My environment is okay, ph is fine and when I use any other light besides my mh growth is amazing. All i'm really asking is if I should switch from standard spectrum mh to daylight spectrum mh? The price difference is alot so I wanted input before spending $40 on a bulb...lol.

My apologies. I've just never heard of anyone using a daylight spectrum MH or of a 4000k MH not providing excellent veg growth. To me, it just said there is possibly another factor at play.
