The darkness of sky was illuminated with hundreds of shooting stars, mostly at 2am here in England, ok lots were very distant and seemed feint and in the distance, but every now and again a brilliant white one appeared, i had a couple of smokes, went out to look, seemed like i was outside for say 20 mins and when i came back in 90 mins had passed, damn mary jane and her time distorting properties lol

Meteor showers are very cool indeed. I didn't even look last night, i just went to sleep. I remember once when my father was stationed in fort buchanon in Puerto Rico. He got all his military buddies to come out to the light house where some very famous pirate died. I can't even think of his name. (he fell off the really high cliff that the light house is on)

Anyways, we set up there at 3 am. Blankets, cots, everything hehe. We seen hundreds and hundreds of shooting stars and it lasted hours. It was really an eye treat!

I hear ya TBG... I saw one biggin around 10pm and then the cloud cover moved in. Still, one was enough to rock my world for a while

Dang city lights blocked a bunch on me but still seen some nice ones. My freind and I ussually go out in the country with a lawn chair and sit in the field.
