Hi Rose. Yes I already played with it and did some coconut oil that turned out very good. However, it bothered me how much oil remained in the grass and I figured that if I want to do several runs of oil to make it stronger, that significant amount of oil is being trapped and left behind at every run and using that cool glove and bag is simply not enough to press it all out, so I think I will need some pressing mechanism to press most of the oil out. The machine is very cool I tried the self cleaning and it is nice and easy.Hi zem, You can make really strong brownies, by using loaded butter. There is recipes on the Magical butter machine web site, i think. Let us know if you have played with it yet.
That's great. I will be looking into distillers, but for now, what I care for is being able to ingest the ethanol oil and not have to evaporate the last drop and smoke it. With the decarbox and MB machine I think that this will be easier. I used to have a hard time decarbing in my regular gas oven and then used freezing and manually mixing and straining ethanol while everything is freezing. the MB has an 8 hour ehtanol infusion program that I guess will eliminate the need for freezing right?Yes, ethanol would probably work best for what you want. The thing with ethanol is that you can evaporate the alcohol off and make it as strong as you want. This isn't something that you can do with oils and butters. If you are going to do much with ethanol, you might want to look into getting a distiller. It is pretty cool to be able to reclaim most of the alcohol. If you make RSO, it only takes about twice to recoup your investment. I generally use 4 half gallons of Everclear when making RSO and can reclaim about 3 and 2/3 bottles.
