Good morning, Misfits. 16 degrees here and super windy. Old Hen woke me up to inform me that the house temps were 63. That safety switch in the boiler flue doesn't like 45MPH winds whipping down the stack. Got it back on and went back to sleep. Off again. Got it fired back up for now, but the winds aren't letting up, so it'll be a constant thing today.

With the beer and the eats, I managed to stay under 800 calories for the 28th, so today is CHEAT DAY! God, I can already smell that corned beef & swiss on rye.
Monday is weigh in day, so we'll see if all this silliness and torture has been working.
Awesome work man! Stay busy bro

When I grew up I had a friend who's dad sang in this pretty famous national band, sort of like pop country sounding but in our language. It's weird as hell honestly, I'll find you a sample. Anyhow. A couple of weeks ago his dad was in a gay sex scandal. Still married to his mom and everything. She found out through the newspapers. I wonder how the atmosphere feels in that household in the evenings. Anyone wanna smoke a joint, no?

Good morning brothers and sisters!View attachment 371648View attachment 371649

Another double gorgeous springlike day starting at 45F and predicted to reach 59F.

Got my echocardiogram scheduled and contacted the contractor again about the paint falling off our recently repainted duplex. He had no explanation, but agreed to repaint it for free. Also soliciting bids to repaint our house this year.

An open calendar today, so reviewing my opportunities.

:hugs:

I have a Rheem Classic Series Super Quiet 80 gas furnace. The unit is not quite three years old and every winter I have the same problem. When the winds get up and start to gust over 30 mph, this causes the heater to cut off and/or lock out until the winds die down. Once the winds are steady, and die down the heater turns on and returns to normal.

The local technicians cannot identify any hardware malfunction. The ownerââ¬â¢s manual lists several safety features. One of which is the pressure switch that monitors pressure conditions within the furnace vent system during the heating cycle. Further, it states that there are several reasons for the pressure switch not to close. Item number four - "Severe downdrafts cancelling the draft from the inducer fan."

The technician believes there could be a downdraft problem that may be causing the pressure switch to open. The technician replaced the pressure switch and installed a high wind flue cap. The condition is still the same. Do you have any thoughts?

Old Hen took Mickey for a walk in the back field, and the neighbor gal (30 something) came out in her backyard and handed her a bag of goodies for me plowing their driveway for the last couple of years. Not needed, but appreciated. As long as they weren't mad at me for doing it. I used to do it before they bought the house, and just got in the habit. The bag had small bags of Baby Ruth's, Snickers, Almond Joy's, Jerky, and two Yeti beverage mugs. The candy's gonna wait, but the jerky is a good source of protein, and the mugs always come in handy.:)
