Partly cloudy here starting at 32F and predicted to reach 49F.

A productive day yesterday after breakfast out. The new photo switch for the driveway lights came with a wiring diagram and destructions so I got it working, as well as our EV charger.

The issue with the EV charger was an arcing connection that apparently, I didn't tighten well enough when I installed the circuit in in 1987 for my table saw. Both legs showed 119V to neutral or ground, so it could pass the voltage but not the amperage.

Off to the gym first thing and then we've got our landscaper coming to trim the cedar tree that we planted in the parking strip, and which is now taking over both the street and our sidewalk.

Does anyone here currently use Ring for their home security?

We changed wifi providers and am having one hello of a time trying to get this to connect back to the new internet... Went from consolidated to the new fiber optics people...

And I been all over the google and logged into the ring site itself.. This stuff just as wells could be Chinese algebra 2 with some trig thrown in there for me. - - - I am going to log out and smoke a couple pinch hits... (Answer to everything) I will still be come back here tonight.

Thanks in advance !!!
I have AT&T Fiber and Ring Cameras. Usually it's pretty much self explanatory. I just follow the prompts. I scan the barcode on the ring doorbell and follow the prompts. Pretty much the same for the camera over my garage.
I'm actually thinking about replacing mine with the new Eufy cameras. With Eufy there is no monthly charges because you have your own little server box and only you can see your recordings. They are even simpler to hook up to Wifi. We have some we installed on a few of our new properties I manage.
It even comes with face recognition.

I had one but took it down. Not all that good a picture and storage is an issue unless you want to pay to use the cloud. It also goes through batteries relatively fast so get a AA charger and use rechargeable batteries.
Take a look at the Eufy cameras brother. You don't need a cloud. It has its on server box with storage. Only you can see your recordings.

I don't but I have a fickle printer i have to reinstall it to get it to work. Have you tried that?
I am sort of getting it figured out. I hope I could just do the base station and that would fix everything else... BUT for me, it is makiing me do each individual piece. Thanks @MariJan and everyone else for the encouragement. The outside ones need a big ladder. If it wasn't 13 degrees, everything would be done.

Score one for the high school dropout? :) Snicker, snicker..... 🤪

Good morning, Misfits! 23 and cloudy with the "S" word on the way. No big plans for the day other than a brisk workout at the gym later on this afternoon.

Still waiting on the guided decapping pins I ordered from fleabay. They were supposed to be here 11/21 and have been taking a tour of the postal system ever since. NY, NJ, Indapolous, back to NY, NJ, and Detroit. Money has already been refunded, but I assured the seller that if and when they showed up, I'd pay him. It's not his or my fault. USPS seduced the K-9 once again. I printed out the voyage the item has been on and the Old Hen showed the folks at the local PO. They were quite amused, enough that they got the Postal Inspector involved.

I'll give one to the high school dropout, because I thought the electrical supply was sound after inspecting the breaker and testing for voltage on both legs to common and to ground.

At my age memory is ephemeral, but it does seem like the illustrious street-smart, pot smoking, jive talking, and Rolls driving brother we speak of was expecting the new breaker to fix the problem thought, which it didn't. The arcing was on the back of the plug socket.

I found it when I was removing the 50A plug to hard wire for 60A.

PS: I thought about lying about what was wrong, so you didn't have a chance to gloat, but decided to stick to the truth, because with my memory I'd probably forget what I said.
