Wedding or since you guys were a couple, or maybe married at 12yrs old LOL
Congrats, Woman must have the patience of a saint
We got married 4 months after we met.🥰
I had just got out of Prison the second time. I had only been out about 2 months when I met her at a friend's house. Him and his Wife told her to be careful that I was too wild and crazy. She didn't listen.😁

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband is not in bed. She puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall. She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.
☕️

'What's the matter, dear' she whispers as she steps into the room, 'Why are you down here at this time of night
The husband looks up from his coffee, 'It's the 20th Anniversary of the day we met'.
She can't believe he has remembered and starts to tear up.
The husband continues, 'Do you remember 20 years ago when we started dating, I was 18 and you were only 16,' he says solemnly.
Once again, the wife is touched to tears. 'Yes, I do' she replies.
The husband pauses The words were not coming easily. 'Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car'
'Yes, I remember' said the wife, lowering herself into the chair beside him.
The husband continued. 'Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, "Either you marry my daughter or I will send you to prison for 20 years'
'I remember that, too' she replied softly.
He wiped another tear from his cheek and said "I would have gotten out today."

I was 14 when I met her, 15 when I fell in love with her, and 19 when I married her. She's been the light of my life for 53 years.

Tomorrow is our 38th Anniversary. So we decided to go out to lunch today instead of tomorrow.
Were going to Outback Steakhouse. We have been going there on our Anniversary for several years.
Congratulations to you both!
My 35th was 5 days ago
Congratulations on five more days brother!

Sounds like you raised each other right!

I think that's the key. I've known several friends that married late in life and they didn't last. When you marry as kids, you kinda stay friends and grow up together. Worked for me anyhoo.
I've also known folks that got married in their 30's and stayed that way. Guess it's the luck of the draw/fate/determination.

I know at least one brother that got married the third time at age 40 and is still married 40 years later.

Nice to see you still here
That other place is like sitting in a room full or geriatrics talking about who has the worst diseases .
I wasn't a part of, nor has anyone shared the details of the issue leading to a mass exodus to IC Mag Forum, though I sense acrimony on both sides.

Moot since it didn't involve me, and I decide which forums to participate in based on whether it's fun for me.

This forum is still fun, though admittedly less fun than before the exodus because some of the brothers and sisters who left have a good sense of humor and are fun to be around.

I've actually been a member of IC Mag since 2009 because it continues to be fun and is now more fun.

Sadly, brothers and sisters in our age groups do typically have a lot of medical issues. The last five years have certainly been the hardest for me, so that at age 80 me and old folks are having more and more in common.

I recognize that you are feeling a loss as well, or you would have long ago just written them off as good riddance and forgotten about them, rather than continuing to dwell on it. Maybe a lesson in there for all involved, which I fortunately wasn't, and as good a time as any to turn loose of it and move forward.
